Milton Harms is an entrepreneur and executive leader with over three decades of experience in international trade, distribution, renewable energy, and automotive sales. As the founder and managing director of multiple successful ventures based in Aruba, he has played a key role in shaping the island’s commercial landscape and expanding its business footprint across the Caribbean. Milton Harms’s leadership is marked by a strategic vision, deep industry knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to economic innovation and sustainability.
Mr. Harms founded Romar Freezone N.V. in 1988, focusing on the re-export of liquor and tobacco throughout Aruba, Curaçao, and Panama. The company grew from a small operation into a dynamic regional player. Building on this success, he launched Romar Trading in 1989, which has since become the leading importer and distributor of wine, spirits, tobacco, and food products in Aruba.
Mr. Harms has had a significant impact on the automotive industry in the Dutch Caribbean. Since 1991, he has served as managing director of Bejumied Holding, a joint venture with The Moravian Church Foundation. This partnership holds a 40 percent stake in automotive dealerships across Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, representing prestigious brands such as Nissan, General Motors (GM), BMW, Kia, Hyundai, Suzuki, and Honda.
